Professional Training Programs Provide mandated training in Child Abuse prevention, treatment and the relevant laws for Los Angeles Department of Mental health to approximately 80 therapists per year. 1980 -present

Appointed by Office of Substance Abuse Prevention to be member of National Expert panel to develop materials for prevention with national parent education programs.
UCLA Extension: Teaching stress management to educators as a part of earthquake preparedness.

Youth Gang Services: developed, designed and implemented a staff training program for Youth Gang Services. This 20 week program aimed at prevention impacted 300 families per month as of June 1985.

Child Abuse: 1983-present. Personally trained professionals (Social Workers, Psychologists, Nurses and MFCUs), representing over 78 agencies, to work with child abusing families. This program impacts more than 1,000 court ordered families per month.

Schools: Trained nearly 4000 school nurses, principals and administrators in the psychological techniques of crisis intervention since 1981. This training program has been mandated due to the need for earthquake preparedness.

Parent Education: 1973-present. Trained nurses, social workers and psychologists throughout the County of Los Angeles to become Red Cross Parent Education Instructors. This program has touched as many as 15,000 families per year.

C.E. for nurses: 1973-Present.Taught courses in patient diet and exercise management, Child abuse, disaster training and parent education.

Internship program: 1970-1974. Designed and implemented an internship program for Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. The program included Ph.D., M.A. and A.A. level candidates.

Training Films Emotional Development of Children: 1978.a 10 minute film made by the American Red Cross for use in their Parent Education Program. The film outlines Erik EriksonUs first two stages of development. It has been distributed throughout the U.S. and Western Europe.

Dance Therapy and the Psychotic Patient: 1972. A half hour film made in collaboration with Dan Peterson, M.A. and produced by L.A. County Department of Mental Health and used to train Dance Therapists.
